It shows not only how insanely big the share of outdated fossil fuel generation is (except in Tasmania) but, how wind farms can cover hours of the day, when solar PV is generating less. Have a look at this graph at different hours of the day and at night. All Australia could look like the bar showing Tasmania, just replace the big amount of hydro with solar PV and wind + storage. Coal is the biggest polluter in the energy mix and highly subsidised, while causing enormous and long lasting damage (even when exported and burnt overseas).
